چکیده

Existing nonlinear averaged models for current programmed converters are based on a steady-state formulation of the current mode control law. Although reasonably accurate at the lower frequencies (f << fswitching), these models tend to break down well before sampled-data effects nullify the assumptions underlying state-space averaging. Moreover, the SPICE implementation of the large-signal models is often plagued by a multitude of simulation problems. In this paper, a refined duo-model model for current programmed PWM converters is presented which exhibits improved high frequency accuracy over previous formulations and whose SPICE implementation remains, thus far, remarkably free of simulation problems. The large-signal transient response predicted using the refined average model is shown to be virtually indistinguishable, in an average sense, from that predicted using a pulse-by-pulse simulation.

A Unified Analysis of PWM Converters in Discontinuous Modes

Three discontinuous operating modes of PWM converters are considered in this paper-the discontinuous inductor current mode (DICM), the discontinuous capacitor voltage mode (DCVM) and a previously unidentified mode named discontinuous quasi-resonant mode (DQRM). DC and smallsignal ac analyses are applicable to all basic PWM converter topologies. Any particular topology is taken into account via ...

MODELING OF HIGH-POWER-FACTOR RECTIFIERS BASED ON SWITCHING CONVERTERS WITH NONLINEAR-CARRIER CONTRO - Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1996. PESC '96 Record., 27th Annual IEEE

The paper presents unified modeling and analysis of high-power-factor rectifiers based on switching converters with nonlinear-carrier control (NLC). In NLC control, which offers simple, high-performance power-factor correction (PFC), the switch duty ratio is obtained by comparing a signal derived from the switch current with a periodic nonlinear carrier. A general expression is derived for the ...

Sampled-Data Modeling and Analysis of PWM DC-DC Converters I. Closed-Loop Circuits

General block diagram models are proposed for PWM DC-DC converters in continuous and discontinuous conduction modes with fixed switching frequency. Both current mode control and voltage mode control are addressed in these models. Based on these models, detailed nonlinear and linearized sampled-data dynamics are derived. Asymptotic orbital stability is analyzed. Audio-susceptibility and output i...

Switched-Mode Power Converters

A new modeling approach for the spectral analysis of pulsewidth modulated (PWM) converters with independent inputs is developed. The key of this approach is to extend the Volterra functional series to nonlinear systems with multiple independent inputs. After formulating the state-space equations describing the dynamical behavior of PWM converters, the Volterra transfer function characterizing t...

Software Makes Transfer Functions

S mall-signal analysis of switching dc-dc converters determines their specific transfer functions, for example, for stability analysis or design of a proper input filter. Transfer functions of interest for switching dc-dc converters are input impedance , output impedance, duty cycle (or control voltage) to output voltage, and input voltage to output voltage. Two pieces of literature about accom...
